Educating my client!

I started this project by educating my client about the difference between the main concepts we will deal with across our project.
Also, I focused on managing the expectations for the work I will present in the future.

Deliver the identity!

One of the most critical parts of the redesign process was ensuring that the final deliverables were structured, accessible, and developer-friendly. Before reaching that stage, I conducted multiple rounds of visual exploration—experimenting with layouts, color systems, and component behaviors—to align the interface with both user expectations and the brand's identity.

Website time! So, Let’s fix the experience!

We restructured the core user flows across the existing website by aligning design decisions with business priorities and user behavior insights. After analyzing current data and internal requirements, we delivered a full set of wireframes for a streamlined, end-to-end experience.

✅ Simplified navigation flow
✅ Enhanced filtering system
✅ Fully responsive design across devices

Clear Navigation Created

We redesigned the navigation experience to be intuitive and frictionless, allowing users to instantly filter between new, used, and exploratory car searches. By simplifying the top-level decision and introducing clear, digestible steps (Details → Images → Owner), users now move through the car listing and posting process with confidence. Quick filters and categorized dropdowns further reduced cognitive load, ensuring that even first-time visitors could navigate the platform without confusion.

Designing with Components, Not Pages

Component-based design gave us speed, clarity, and consistency. I moved away from full-page layouts and focused on modular units that could be reused across the platform.

A key challenge was balancing marketing needs with user focus. To solve this, I introduced a hierarchy system to control how and where components show up, without overwhelming the interface.

This reduced design debt, aligned the team with a shared system, and made it easier to scale updates for over 1.4 million users.

Cutting the Distance to Car Details.

I streamlined the journey to the car details page from multiple scattered steps down to just two. The goal was to remove friction and let users reach what matters: car specs, features, and comparisons without digging.

This required rethinking the entry points, removing distractions, and merging filters with results into a single flow. It wasn't just about speed, it was about respecting the user's intent from the first click.

The Impact

The redesign had an immediate and measurable impact. Within the first month, 500,000 new users joined the platform. Pages per session increased by 31.7%, and the total number of users grew by 44%. Active user engagement doubled month over month, and Hotjar feedback reflected a strong 3.8 satisfaction rate. These results validated the design decisions and confirmed that the new experience successfully met both user needs and business goals.
